In October 2024 the Bitpanda HQ in Vienna celebrated the launch of the first security token “Steelcoin“. The event – planned by us – revolved entirely around the innovative coin and the material steel. In a live-streamed press conference that preceded the main program and was met with large media interest, Steelcoin was introduced to the public. At the entrance guests, among them high-profile personalities in the realms of business, sports and politics, were welcomed at a photo wall with a silver mirrored floor. This area was very popular and a central point of contact for media representatives.

Creative light design transformed the space of the Bistro for the occasion: An eye-catching LED wall and 16 programmable LED light bars created an atmospheric interplay of light and steel. The stage with its glossy black floor blended harmoniously into the minimalist design, while additional lights in the outdoor area stylishly illuminated the surrounding trees and landscape.

The climax of the night was the “Ring the Bell” ceremony, the inaugural Steelcoin transfer, which was streamed live to the LED wall and skillfully staged by a custom-made light show by the multimedia artist collective lichterloh.

The event’s design approach was elegant, and minimalist, featuring black high-gloss floor and sleek, black furniture. The light installations and animations by lichterloh which depicted the material steel in various shapes and movements, fitted seamlessly into the overall concept. The branding was also deliberately staged: holograms made the Steelcoin and the brand logos hover in mesmerizing 3D effects, adding a futuristic touch to the event. A tangible Steelcoin, manufactured for the occasion, created a physical link to the digital innovation and made the visual aspect of the event a full-circle design experience.

We oversaw the overall conception and implementation of the event. The perfect symbiosis of light and animation contributed to an unforgettable experience and provided a fitting backdrop to the launch of the innovative token.
