The second international mayor’s conference “N-O-W“ took place on July 21-23, 2016. After the first conference was held in Vienna in January, this time Athens was chosen for the venue.
The conference focused on the implementation of the EU-Turkey Agreement and the challenges facing the communities and cities concerned. Once again, mayors, NGO representatives, experts and people seeking refuge discussed the current situation.
The conference, hosted by André Heller and Patricia Kahane, was curated by Hannes Swoboda, former member of the European Parliament and a member of the Executive Board of the Bruno Kreisky Forum for International Dialogue.
Participants from various countries such as Italy, Greece, Turkey, Germany and Austria met in the conveniently located “Technopolis City of Athens“. The conference, which was planned and staged by büro wien, included round table discussions, group workshops and individual meetings similar to the conference in January, in Vienna.

Due to developments in Europe and the rest of the world, this project will continue to be one of the central themes of our political life.
