Anti-Corruption Excellence Award

On World Anti-Corruption Day, December 9, 2016, for the first time Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad Al Thani was awarded the Anti-Corruption Excellence Award at the Hofburg in Vienna.
The award recognizes individuals and organizations which make important contributions to fighting against corruption at different levels. A total of seven awards were awarded in four categories.
The awards were presented to the winners, the UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon and Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad Al Thani, Emir of Qatar.

On the same day, büro wien unveiled a sculpture by the Iraqi artist Ahmed Al Bahrani at the UNO-City of Vienna, with the artistic aim of standing as a symbol of the fight against corruption.
